| Wuppertal Technical Academy |

The Wuppertal Technical Academy Wuppertal was founded in 1948 on the initiative of the local economy and public administration. Then as now, the aim was to provide remedial training to dill in gaps in existing knowledge. The range of subjects offered was quickly expanded from technical and natural science subjects to include social and business management training. The training available ranges from 1-day seminars to studies lasting several years in co-operation with various technical colleges.
For the practical support and augmentation of the further training activities, certain tasks are grouped together in associated laboratories, institutes and independent subsidiary companies. The knowledge, experience and results obtained in these service areas are incorporated into the planning and conduct of the training measures.
Ten further training centres run by the Wuppertal Technical Academy throughout the whole country today provide visible proof of the national approach adopted by the Academy. Of around 25,000 students, almost 10,000 specialists and managers come to the "Bergisch Triangle".
